Standard carbine was manufactured in 1940, one of the scarcer manufacturing dates just prior to the war. It is standard in all respects with the 20" round barrel, full magazine, lever action, sporting sights, shotgun butt, walnut stock and chambered in the .30-30 cartridge. The barrel bands are basically patina. Has the long wood fore end. The rear stock is not fluted. Steel shotgun buttplate, ramp front sight and sporting rear. Barrel and tube retains 85% original blue starting to plum. Frame retains approximately 75% original factory blue, patina on high edges and freckling on left side. Excellent bore and action. Left side of frame has four screw holes, now filled, for some sort of scope base.
