This pistol was manufactured in 1938, one of aproximately 15,000 made between 1938 to 1942. It is referred to as the Woodsman First Series Match Target Model. It is standard with a 6-5/8" barrel, blued finish, and checkered (elephant ear) walnut grips. It has an original Match Target stamped magazine. Is is chambered for the .22 LR cartridge with the adjustable rear sight. Gun retains approximately 97% of the original blue finish with a bit of dulling and freckling on frame. Fine bore and perfect action. Grips are near mint with none of the usual cracks. This was one of the finest .22 target pistols ever manufactured, and is still a fine shooter even by today's standards.
