Colt brought back the famous sheriff's model in 1980. This revolver dates to that first year of reintroduction. These are referred to as Third Models. This example is in pristine condition with no evidence of any turn line. Features include a 3" barrel, scarce nickel finish, single action, six shot, and two cylinders. The installed cylinder is for the .44 Special cartridge, while the additional is chambered for the .44-40 cartridge. The grips are smooth walnut. Gun is accompanied by the original cardboard Colt shipping box with proper end label numbered to gun in very good condition and with all paperwork. In addition the gun is displayed in a French fitted case with a glass top.
