Factory letter states that this pistol was shipped to the Seattle Hardware Co., Seattle, Washington, October 20th, 1949 in a shipment of ten guns. It is listed as a .38 Super with a 5" barrel and blued finish, with stocks not listed but currently sports the brown Colt logo Coltwood grips proper for this gun. It has the newly invented non-glare finish on top and bottom, and high polished blue sides. The gun remains in excellent condition with all original parts and finish. It has approximately 95% of this original finish with just the usual high edge and muzzle wear. Mint bore and action. Wonderful early post-war .38 Super.
