This revolver, commonly referred to as the "Model No. 10" or the ".38 Military and Police revolver", was manufactured between 1948 and 1951. Standard features of the gun include the scarce 2" barrel, square butt, blued finish, six shot, double action, and chambered for the .38 Special cartridge. Features the case colored hammer and trigger. Sports a mint pair of Smith & Wesson silver medallion diamond checkered walnut grips. The right grip has the matching serial number stamped into it. Aside from a light drag line, the gun shows in as new condition. In addition, it is housed in its original gold box numbered to the gun with an original sales receipt, listing the gun by serial number, dated 3-11-52. It was sold to O.E. McCluskey of the Sun Oil Co. in Beaumont, Texas for a grand total of $52.36. A cleaning rod in bag and a later set of instructions have been added. Has original wax paper. Even the box is near mint. A beautiful collector grade square butt Smith & Wesson with Texas affiliation.
