This rifle was manufactured in 1929. It is a Model 55 Takedown chambered for the .32 WS caliber. Made from 1927 to 1932. Features a 24" nickel steel round barrel, half magazine, takedown, sporting sights, lever action, blued finish, walnut stocks, fluted comb, and checkered steel buttplate. Barrel retains virtually of the original high polish factory blue. Top and right side of frame retains approximately 98% original blue. Left side of frame exhibits the typical flaking of guns made in this era, retains 30% blue with the balance flaked to a brown patina. Walnut stocks are near mint with a couple of very minor dings. Lever retains approximately 50% original finish. This gun saw very little carry use and most of the blue loss is simply a case of flaking due to the metal finishing at Winchester. Excellent bore and action. This gun is serial numbered with the 1894 frame rather than the 55 frame, common practice at Winchester at the time.
