Manufactured 1857 to 1858 only. Gun was built utilizing a 3" octagon barrel, five shot round cylinder, .31 caliber percussion, with smooth gutta percha grips, blued finish, case colored hammer, and German silver trigger guard. This was Remington's first revolver. The barrel retains flashes of the original high polish blue finish. Frame and cylinder are basically brown patina. Grips are perfect with no chips or cracks. Traces of color on hammer. Indexes fine. Bore has visible rifling but some roughness. Perfect nipples.
