Manufactured in 1959. 5 - 1/2" barrel, blue and case colors. Fine mint bore and action. Light drag line that is only perceptible under glass, otherwise 98 - 99%. Chambered for the scarce .44 Special. This fine early Second Generation Colt shows in near new condition. No evidence of firing on the end of cylinder. Grips are mint. According to the book on post-war Colt S.A.A.'s by George Garton, only a total of 118 revolver were made in this caliber and configuration, making it one of the scarcest of the Second Generation Colts.
