Manufactured in 1916. Issued and used by the Detroit PD. The backstrap is stamped Detroit Police and the butt is stamped "No. 3053". Standard double action revolver chambered for the .38 cartridge. It is a 4" barrel. Manufactured in factory nickel finish. Revolver remains in excellent condition. Retains 80% factory nickel finish with high edge wear on cylinder, muzzle, and edge of barrel, with some light freckling on right side of frame. Has very good grips with two small chips at the bottom, not visible from the side. Has a perfect action and a strong bore. Nice early police revolver with history.
