This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/22/2015
Manufactured from 1892 to 1899 in Buffalo, New York. Production is estimated at only a few thousand. Features a unique action designed by Andrew Burgess. Has the iron sleeve fitted over the wrist of the stock which activates the bolt and breach mechanism, with a tubular magazine. This is a standard 12 ga. with a 32" barrel (unusual), blued finish and walnut stocks. All the metal is a basically a clean smooth gun metal patina. No visible dents in barrel. The wood is excellent with one small repair at toe stock. Checkering is fine with some wear. Action is sticky. Clean bore. Has a full choke with a 14" LOP to the Burgess gutta percha pad. Really interesting Old West shotgun with a bead front sight in nice clean presentable condition.
