This is a behemoth rifle chambered for the classic .375 H&H cartridge, often referred to as the Safari rifle. Standard features include a 27" blued barrel, checkered walnut stock, rosewood grip cap and fore end tip, and leather covered butt. In addition this rifle was finely custom engraved at muzzle, mid-barrel, and breach as well as full coverage on the receiver and floorplate. Gun retains virtually all of the original factory blue. Checkered bolt handle and jeweled bolt. The two lug stock has rosewood plugs. Has a vintage sling. Rifle has seen very little use. Custom checkered stock has a few minor dings. Overall beautiful engraved large caliber bolt action rifle. This Remington was owned by famous writer R. L. Wilson and was used on many trips to Africa, taking trophy's such as Elephant and Leopard. When R. L. returned from his last trip to the dark continent he had this gun engraved by Colt Master Engraver Denise Therion.
