Manufactured 1860 to 1868. Standard features include a 3-3/16" octagon barrel, seven shot, non-fluted cylinder and chambered for the .22 short rimfire cartridge. These were popular during the Civil War. Many of these were carried in coat pockets of soldiers on both side of the conflict. The barrel and cylinder have plummed to a gun metal grey. Brass frame remains a soft patina. Grips are cracked on the right side and have a chip at left toe. There has been a minor repair at hinge. Working order but sticky. Very good bore. Correction: This is a S&W Model No. 1 Copy and was manufactured by American Standard Tool Co.
