Dagger #2 of 200. Presented to the men participating in "The Night of the Long Knives." SS Elite guard dagger with a front blade etch which reads" Meine Ehe Heisst Treve (My Honor Is Loyalty). Blade exhibits pitting on both sides. Back side of blade has a full long hand German inscription which reads "Dedicated to Himmler No. 2". Signed in German "In heart felt thanks H. Himmler". Handle is black swell center hard wood bearing (two) inlays, one is a double eagle clutching a swastika, the other is the SS insignia. Correct metal 1936 scabbard is included with a heavy nickel silver throat and tip, heavy nickel silver skull and cross bones SS death chain. Rare piece with historical significance.
