Offered is an all original Inland manufactured .30 caliber M1 carbine in the desirable paratrooper configuration. Features an 18" barrel. It has an original metal folding stock with the hard leather cheek piece. Receiver is stamped "Inland", as well as the barrel, which is stamped "Inland General Motors 8-43". Original stock with wooden pistol grip and vintage web sling. No cartouche on wood visible. Retains the majority of the war-time parkerized finish. Strong excellent bore and perfect action. The metal stock is basically brown patina and is all original with no replaced or reproduction parts of any kind. Is not accompanied by magazine (easily found). Metal butt does have cast numbers and buttplate is original per M-1 book. All stock and metal parts have been compared, part by part, to the book on M1 carbines by J.C. Harrison.
CORRECTION: The proper proof "P" can be found stamped in circle on back of stock. Square cartouche on inside of pistol grip
