The scope mount is signed "E. Peter Gunsmith". It is a beautiful custom Mauser sporting rifle chambered for the 8mm cartridge. Features a 23" barrel with a single leaf rear and ramp front. Barrel and frame retains virtually all of the blue finish. Custom walnut stock with sharp checkering, pistol grip, roll-over cheek piece, Schnabel fore end, sling swivels, ventilated rubber buttplate, quick release claw mount scope base, and a Hensolut German scope. Bore is excellent. Wood is excellent with no cracks or chips, just a couple of minor marks Beautiful German pre-war custom rifle. The floor plate is engraved and has a pewter or silver inlay of an elk. Trigger guard has some high edge wear.
