First barrel: 28" chambered for the .32-40 cartridge. Second barrel: 30" 16 bore. Manufactured 1868 to 1898. The rifle features a 28" full octagon barrel, is chambered for the popular .32-40 caliber cartridge and features sporting front and rear sights. Retains approximately 95% original factory blue. The factory round knob checkered walnut stocks are near mint, proud to metal, with no cracks or chips and has an H&A black composite shotgun buttplate. Retains sharp checkering and the majority of the original finish. The case colors on the frame have darkened. Bore is mint. Action is perfect. It is a takedown model that allows the extra shotgun barrel, complete with forearm, to be installed. The shotgun barrel is a 16 bore with blued finish that is basically a pleasing mix of blue-brown patina with an improved choke. The walnut forend is excellent with no cracks or chips and sharp checkering. Rarely seen high condition combination rifle shotgun set.
