This lot and the previous lot consist of two consecutively numbered Commercial Colt Model 1911 A1 semi-automatic pistols. Neither show any signs of having ever been fired. Both guns come in the original hinged Colt box with gold and green end label. Box has the original wax paper, original cleaning rod, and original instructions. The boxes are mis-numbered at the bottom and probably were done at the shop when they were new. Both guns were manufactured in 1951. Standard features include a 5" barrel, blued finish, Colt logo plastic original grips and chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. Each gun has a minor storage mark from being in the box, but would rate 99% unfired condition. This is the only set of consecutive number early post-war pistols that this writer has ever seen or heard of. Neither has a drag line. Bore, action, and grips are mint. This lot is being sold individually but consecutively with the previous lot.
