This is the original model 39 manufactured from mid 50's to 1966, late alloy frame, steel slide, chambered for the 9MM cartridge, 4" barrel, double action, semi automatic, adjustable rear sight, checkered walnut grips, blued finish, gun retains virtually all of its original finish, shows in near new condition. The model 39 is the beginning of the first generation S&W center fire semi auto's and was the first American made double action 9MM semi automatic. As such deserves a place in every collection of semi automatic pistols.
