Standard military issue with a 5" barrel chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. Has the war-era parkerized finish. Left side of frame has the "W.B." inspector mark. There is a proof "P" and a "VP" in a triangle on trigger guard. Right side of frame is stamped "United States Property M1911 A1 U.S. Army". Has a "69" on the trigger guard. Features coarse checkered arched mainspring housing, checkered short wide spur hammer, and checkered slide stop and safety. Brown plastic grip have a Keyes star and No. 19. Low profile wind-drift rear sight. Lanyard loop at base. Blued barrel has a "P" on left lug. Right lug is stamped "HS" for Hi-standard. Has a later magazine stamped "Colt .45 Auto". Strong bore and perfect action. Slide retains a majority of the original finish with high edge wear and sharp markings. Frame has a drag line and retains 90% of the original finish with usual high edge wear. Very nice and clean all original example of a Colt early war Model 1911.
