This rifle was manufactured from August of 1942 to February of 1943. Features a 24" barrel chambered for the .30-06 cartridge. Has the proper period Winchester "P.W." inspector mark in oval and has correct "D28287-1 W.R.A.". Correct bolt and Lock Bar rear sight. Has "W.R.A." trigger group stamped "C46025". The stock does not have any visible cartouche present. Metal retains 90% of the military green-grey parkerized finish. Faint "P" in oval under wrist. Stock is near mint. No ME reading. Strong visible rifling. Extremely difficult to find Winchester World War II M1 Garand.
