Model is referred to as the K-38 target masterpiece, the 14-1 was manufactured from 1959-1960 only, features the 8 - 3/8" barrel (also introduced in 1959). Other features include six shot, fluted cylinder, double action, blued finish, has the wide case colored hammer and trigger, adjustable rear sight, diamond checkered walnut grips, and chambered for the .38 special cartridge. Retains virtually all of the factory blue and does not appear to have seen much use with only light cylinder drag line. Comes in the original blue box that is numbered to gun on bottom in white marker. Grips have no number inside them. Beautiful early Smith in a rather scarce barrel length in highly collectable condition.
