This is an early, manufactured in the second year of production in 1887, Winchester. It is an all original, righteous, unaltered and unmessed with example. Standard features include 26" full octagon barrel, full magazine, walnut stock, rifle butt, and chambered for the .40-82 Winchester cartridge. All factory stamps are strong. Barrel and tube are a pleasing mix of blue-brown patina with some freckling. Case colored frame has turned nickel with some dulling. Bolt retains a dull blue finish. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, never refinished, no cracks or chips, just a couple bumps and some finish loss. Action is perfect. Strong rifling still visible. Screw heads are perfect. Just a nice untouched antique 1886 Winchester with a great look.
