This beautiful black diamond shotgun was manufactured in 1960. Standard features include 12 ga., 2-3/4" chambers, 26" barrel, Simmons matted ventilated rib, red front and silver middle bead sights. The gun is choked for skeet (WS-1). Bolt and lifter are jeweled. It has been upgraded to a Winchester No. 12-5 pattern. Left side features beautiful engraving that surrounds to solid gold setters and a pheasant, while the right side has engraving around four solid gold mallards in flight. The engraver has signed his work "L.C." on the bottom frame. It has a pre-war style black diamond English-type straight grip walnut stock with 20 line-per-inch checkering. LOP is 13-1/4" to a 3/4" solid red Winchester pad. Drop at comb is 2". Mirror bore and perfect action. The metal surfaces retain virtually all of the expertly applied finish with sharp as new factory stamps. The pre-war style black diamond stock exhibits perfect checkering beautifully finished walnut. A simply amazing Model 12.
