Manufactured in 1891. This is the First Model, Navy issue, swing out cylinder revolver with a 6" barrel, blued finish, six shot, double action and chambered for the .38 long Colt cartridge. Gun retains approximately 30% original blue finish with the balance turning gun metal grey. Has sharp factory stamps. Two screws on right side are boogered. Walnut grips have been refinished/replaced. All matching numbers. Butt of barrel has the proof "P". Bottom is stamped "U.S.N. (anchor) 38 DA, (trident), 5616, N.C.T.". Timing is off single action, perfect timing double action. Locks up tight. Strong clean bore. Comes with a later holster.
