This Superposed is a Lightening made in 1959. The barrels measure 29 - 15/16" and fitted with after market choke tube inserts. Probably made by Simmons. Browning factory choke markings are full and improved modified. The bores are mirror bright and shiny and barrel blue is 98 - 99%. The forend screw escutcheon needs attention as it is not properly indexed in the wood (an easy fix). The second barrel is not a Browning made barrel. The barrel has no stampings or identification present. The rib of the barrel is marked Simmons Gun Specialty Company, Kansas City, Missouri. The barrel was probably made by Simmons. This single barrel measures 32" in length showing 98% blue and a bright shiny bore. The barrel wears a fixed choke of extra full with a constriction of .042. The buttstock is a long tang round knob with a 14 - 1/2" LOP to a brown Browning recoil pad. The receiver condition shows 98% blue. The gun comes with a brown Browning leather three barrel case.
