The offered shotgun is a 12 gauge made in Belgium with original box that is stamped December 5th, 1978. This is a very high grade early shotgun with labels that are in German. Engraver has signed the right side of the frame (L.A. Campo). Left side of the barrel is stamped Fabrique Nationale. Sports 2-3/4" chambers with 27-1/2" vent rib barrels. It is choked full over modified and has a 14-1/2" LOP to a single select trigger. Gun has a hard plastic FN logo buttplate. Wood is a highly figured oil finished walnut with the English straight stock and a slight perch belly base. Given the stock and the box end labels, this shotgun was obviously made for the European market. The frame is finished in bright coin metal silver, beautifully engraved, almost full coverage, with scrolls and game scenes. The right side features two pheasants in flight, the left side features two ducks in flight and there is a pigeon on the bottom of frame. You will find similar engraving on the forend release and bottom lugs. The gun is in as new condition, showing no signs of having been assembled or fired. In original box with paperwork and matching end label.CORRECTION: Engraver is L. Acampo.
