This special edition revolver was produced in 2002 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Smith & Wesson. Gun itself is a Model 29-8. It is chambered for the .44 magnum cartridge. Standard features include a 6-1/2" barrel, high polish blued finish, six shot, double action, case colored target hammer, smooth trigger, adjustable rear sight, red ramp front and smooth wood target grips with no medallion. Special features including the high polish blue finish include: engraved and gold inlaid image of Volcanic revolver on each cylinder flat, both sides of barrel features engraving with gold overlays, left side of barrel is stamped ".44 Magnum 1852 - 2002", right side of barrel is stamped "Smith & Wesson 1852 - 2002" and right side of frame exhibits similar engraving with gold overlay vignettes of H. Smith and D.B. Wesson. Gun is unfired but does exhibit light drag line. New in box with all paperwork and special commemorative coin. Comes with a special Smith & Wesson French fitted wooden display case.
