Made in Germany. This Sig Sauer pistol is a semi-automatic double action magazine fed chambered for the .357 Sig cartridge. It is a Model 226 with the matte finish and composite black grips. Gun has been fired. There is little wear on the bolt. Has the white dot drift sights and a 4-3/4" barrel. Comes with three magazines. This model has the nitro black and stainless steel slide. There is a light drag line at takedown, otherwise it is near mint. In the box with all paperwork. This pistol comes with all the documentation confirming its use by Calvin Collins who was stationed in El Paso with the Texas Rangers. The pistol comes with a DPS inventory card that lists this pistol by serial number having been signed out by Mr. Collins. It also comes with a letter from Mr. Collins attesting to the fact that he carried this weapon while he was assigned to George W. Bush's protective detail beginning in June of 1999 through March of 2000. Accompanying this pistol is a Texas Rangers Company E 2000 composite photograph of all the members of the Texas Rangers at the time Mr. Collins was there, and each member has autographed this photo. In addition to being a member of President Bush's security team, the El Paso based Texas Ranger division has been at constant war with the Mexican drug lords and smugglers, making it one of the more troublesome hot spots for any law officer. To write about the exploits of the Texas Rangers would, and has, filled volumes. Rarely does an opportunity to own a piece of Texas Rangers memorabilia present itself.
