This revolver was manufactured circa 1861-1863 and is referred to as the Navy model. It features a 7 - 1/2 octagon barrel, six shot, un-flutted cylinder, it has the concealed barrel threads at breech with the safety notches, walnut grips, blued finish, case colored hammer, brass trigger guard, .36 caliber procution, single action and the 1858 paten barrel date. The metal is basically a grey brown patina with some fine salt and pepper pitting throughout, has the original nipples, very good walnut grips, indexes properly but cylinder does not lock into place and a fine strong bore. It is a fairly scarce civil war revolver.
