This is a second model carbine manufactured from 1863-1865. The Union Calvary of the 9th and 11th Indiana and the 11th Tennessee were just a few of the regiments issued this rifle during the civil war. It is a 50 caliber percussion that features a 20" barrel, blued finish, case colored receiver with walnut buttstock. The barrel has the G.W.S. inspector stamp. Left side stock has two perfect cartouches. The walnut stock is near mint. Gun shows very little actual use. The frame retains 40-60% case colors. The barrel retains a majority of the factory blue finish. The bore is near bore with a perfect action.
