Made in Japan. This is a Winchester Model 1895 lever action rifle. It is a special edition 150th anniversary chambered for the powerful .405 Winchester cartridge. The rifle is new in the box with all paperwork, never fired. It has the special Teddy Roosevelt sleeve. This elaborate Teddy Roosevelt commemorative features a 24" barrel, sporting sights, satin finish deluxe checkered walnut stocks and smooth steel shotgun buttplate. Barrel has the beautiful high polish blue finish, receiver has the special high grade coin nickel finish, as does lever and magazine. The frame, magazine, and lever are beautifully engraved. Left side reads "Theodore Roosevelt 1858 - 2008 150 Years Father of Conservation" with an oval vignette of Teddy all done in gold and six engraved large game. It has a facsimile of T.R.'s autograph on top of the barrel. Right side of frame exhibits the same engraving and the same dated ribbons with seven head of game and an additional full image vignette of T.R. It has a gold trigger and a special T.R. coin on right side of stock. New and unfired.
