Standard issue rifle with 32-5/8" barrel chambered for the .45-70 cartridge. All metal parts are in smooth blue-brown patina with light freckling. All proper U.S. stamped parts. Excellent original stock with S.W.P. 1883 cartouche on left wrist and script "P" in oval at bottom of tang. Very good rifled bore with some minor abrasions. Excellent early Indian Wars trapdoor.
