This revolver was manufactured in 1899. Standard features include a 6" barrel, fluted cylinder, six shot, double action, chambered for the .38 long Colt cartridge. Gun was shipped August 1899 to Hartley & Graham in New York City. This gun features nearly full coverage engraving by the Colt master engraver J. Adams Sr., John Kopek stated that, in his opinion, Mr. Adams was the finest Colt engraver of the 20th century. He started his tenure at Colt in 1976 at the behest of Mr. R.L. Wilson where he engraved over 3,000 guns during his time there. Notable clients include Tom Selleck, Sammy Davis Jr, and the John Wayne family. This revolver is a truly outstanding example of the engravers art. Every area of the pistol exhibits the craftsmanship for which he is most noted. The gun boasts a full nickel finish with fire blue trigger and frame screws. Gutta percha grips are mint. Function is flawless. Near mint bore. Gun is unfired since work was performed.
