Manufactured in Liege, Belgium. Strong rifled bore needs cleaning. It is a .62 caliber percussion with a 37" barrel finished in the white, four barrel bands, walnut stock, wooden cleaning rod, bayonet lug and sling swivels. All matching numbers. Wood is excellent with no cracks, but does have usual war dings. Perfect action. This is the type of rifle that found its way to the Confederacy from Europe as facilitated by the blockade runners. Missing the rear sight.
