This rifle was manufactured in 1890. Factory records confirm the following features; 26" part octagon barrel, button magazine, chambered for the 40-65 cartridge, with original Winchester sporting rear site and blade front sight. Excellent all original walnut stocks proud to metal with no cracks or chips. Has a crescent rifle butt plate. The frame has turned a pleasing gun metal patina. The barrel is a lovely smooth blend of blue/brown patina with no pitting. Action is perfect. Very good rifle bore. Excellent all original special order Model 1886.
