This rifle was converted front flintlock to percussion. The sideplate is stamped "N. Haven". Features a 42" barrel, .69 caliber smooth bore, secured by three barrel bands, original ramrod and sling swivels. Walnut stock does not have any visible cartouche. No visible U.S. inspector stamps. Metal is a smooth brown patina with some pitting at breach. Original nipple. Walnut stock is excellent with 1/2" crack at left side of plate and right side if plate. Bore is very good. Action is fine. Nice early conversion Civil War period rifle.
