July 24-25, 2015 Premier Firearms Sale

This is a hammerless, 12 gauge, with the twist barrels typical of the myriad of mail-order shotguns offered through the catalogs in the latter part of the 19th century. It features 26" barrels, full matte rib, single bead front sight. Barrels are basically brown patina with two to four small dents evident. Bores are near mint. Frame retains traces of case colors but is basically silvered out with light patina. Round knob checkered walnut buttstock is very good, fits nicely to metal with no apparent cracks or chips. 14-1/4" LOP from front trigger to gutta percha buttplate. The forend wood has the ebony tip and shows no cracks. All numbers are matching. The gun was taken apart and refuses to be reassembled, so we are unable to determine face time. With a little bit of mechanical tinkering, this find old shotgun should be put back into working order.
