This is listed as the Type 2 bayonet utilizing the 1892 Krag grip and mounting system. All were dated 1900. The blade is 9.1" long. The point was clipped into a standard Bowie knife configuration with false edge and two ground fullers on either side. Metal parts are finished bright. Rivets are round. Wood grips are proud to metal. Oil finished. This knife is in excellent condition. The blade has a fine tip. It has been cleaned and lightly sharpened at one time. Wood grips are near mint. The pommel does have some oxidation. The original metal scabbard has been repainted.
