Factory letter states this pistol was shipped on April 28th, 1920 in a shipment of three guns to Rogers & Baldwin Hardware Co. in Springfield, Missouri. Further records indicate the pistol was returned to the factory on May 21st, 1929, it was then shipped to George Worthington Hardware Co. in Cleveland, Ohio on June 17th, 1929. It was shipped with a 4-1/2" barrel, blued finish, semi-automatic, chambered for the .38 Auto cartridge, with grips not listed (standard grips of black gutta percha with Colt logo). The seven shot magazine is stamped "Pkt. Colt .38 Cal.". Gun retains fully 90% of the original factory blue, including grips straps, which are thinning a bit, with light high edge and muzzle wear. Spur hammer retains virtually all of the fiery case colors. Grips are near mint. Bore and action are fine.
