Offered is a virtually unused Maynard Second Model Carbine manufactured 1863 to 1865. It is .50 caliber percussion with a 20" round barrel and walnut buttstock. Top of barrel flat is stamped "Jos. Singer' twice. Gun is virtually unissued, 98% original factory blue on barrel. 95% brilliant case colors on frame. Fire blue on screws and hammer. Saddle ring and bar silvered out. Brilliant colors on lever and buttplate. Mint cartouches on left side of stock. This carbine is about as nice as they come.
