This very early model 21 was built in the first few months of production with serial number 219. Like most early guns, it is a double trigger, extractor gun with a splinter forend. The barrels measure 30" and are choked modified and full. The bores are bright and shiny their full length. The original barrel blue rates 85 percent. The chamber lengths are 2 - 3/4". The receiver shows 85 - 90 percent original blue. The trigger guard rates 100 percent but has been expertly rust blued. The wood has some extra finish added with a few minor nicks and dings. No sanding has been done and the wood to metal fit is excellent. The LOP is 14" to its original Winchester plastic buttplate. This old Winchester is still a collectable gun but not too good to take into the October woods.
