This is a World War II Service Ace slide assembly, barrel, and magazine assembled on a Colt World War II U.S. Army frame. The frame was manufactured by Colt in 1945, has all proper U.S. Property Army stamps including "G.H.D." inspector. The slide is a World War II Colt Service Model Ace marked "Chambered for the .22 LR cartridge". Barrel is stamped "Colt Cal. .22 L.R.". Has the Type 2 Stevens adjustable rear sight with proper serrated front. All small parts are checkered. Has the serrated arched mainspring housing. Sports Keyes brown plastic grips with reinforcing ring. There is an import stamp on the left side of frame. Frame retains approximately 80% of its reparkerized finish. Front grip strap is freckled. Slide has strong markings, never refinished, and is basically a gun metal grey. Fine bore and action. Come with a U.S. Model 1942 shoulder holster and canvas magazine pouch. Include one original Service Model Ace magazine.
