This is an all original Colt Model 1911 U.S. Army manufactured in 1918 and chambered for the .45 ACP. Features a 5" barrel, semi-automatic, blued finish and diamond checkered walnut grips. Pistol is all original with all proper World War I parts, including "HP" stamped barrel. Left side of frame has eagle head "S17" inspector mark. Slide and frame retain approximately 80% of the original black army factory finish, thinning on grip strap and high edges. Fine bore and action. Grips are very good with a chip on left panel. Comes in all original 1917 dated holster with web belt. This gun has survived in amazing condition and rates 80-85% overall.
