This revolver was manufactured in 1863. Features an 8" barrel, single action, .44 caliber percussion. All matching numbers including wedge, albeit the cylinder has two sets of numbers as put on by factory. This is a martially issued weapon. Has inspector marks on cylinder, barrel and backstrap. Cut for shoulder stock. It has survived in excellent, all original, condition. Barrel retains approximately 20% of the original high polish factory blue with the balance smooth gun metal patina. Frame has nice traces of case colors. Cylinder has near mint scene with some blue in recesses. 50% original nickel on trigger guard. Backstrap has traces of blue. Original one-piece varnished walnut grips are excellent. Indexes and lock up excellent. Strong bore with some minor roughness. Comes in an original era flap holster with wear at toe.
