This carbine was most likely produced in the first full month of production in 1933. Features a 20" barrel, blued finish, takedown, plain pistol grip walnut stock, sporting sights and smooth steel buttplate. Gun retains virtually all of its original finish on metal surfaces with some minor high edge wear and a bit of light freckling on frame. Solid 98%. Wood is excellent with no cracks or chips, just a little wear to finish on high edges. Mint bore and action. The barrel measures 20", has the flat muzzle with proper 1" center setback of front sight. Later Model 63's have the rounded contoured crown, while this is a flat cut similar to Winchester Model 1903. There is no sign that the barrel has been trimmed and the flat muzzle is an early production feature, albeit no factory letters are available for this gun. Fine 63 semi-automatic rifle. Scarce to find early three digit serial number.
