42" barrel in .69 bore-flintlock. This musket has been altered during the period. It does not have the military style barrel bands, instead it has the pin barrel. The lock is marked “U.S. Springfield 1812” and has the original flintlock. Barrel has the “U.S.” stamp on top and the eagle head proof on left. It is missing the sling swivels. Toe of stock is ¼” shy to buttplate. All metal is a brown patina. There is some chipping at the right side of stock at muzzle. Excellent period altered 1812 U.S. musket.
