48-1/2" barrel in .12 bore-flintlock. This is a fine 18th century British full stock musket or fowling piece. Barrel has the British proofs on left side and is pinned. Has three brass thimbles, brass buttplate, trigger guard, and thumb shield. Lock is marked but unreadable. Metal is a brown patina. Brass is mustard and never cleaned. One piece stock is in excellent condition. No cracks. Nice clean, all original, flintlock musket fowling piece popular in the colonies in the 18th century.
