.70 bore, with a 40" barrel. Unusual early flintlock with full octagon barrel, full stock target rifle. The only markings we can find is a cursive F.M. on lock. Special features include a two leaf folding rear sight with engraving. The lock is engraved with the F.M. in an oval. Has a set adjustable trigger. The butt plate has two protruding attachment screws. Full stock with two sling swivels. Oak ram rod. Three thimbles. With a horn, forend and rod tip. Excellent condition retaining approximately 90 percent of the reapplied blue finish with some age freckling. The lock, trigger guard, and butt plate are a dull gun metal gray. The stocks are excellent with no cracks with a flat base. Wood to metal fit is excellent. No cracks or chips. Fine bore. Unusual rifling. Nice early target rifle. Appears to be of German origin.
