37-1/4" barrel in .44 bore-percussion. This rifle is a conversion from flintlock to percussion. It is a highly decorated presentation half stock. Features numerous engraved silver appliques. Most notable on the left side is an Eagle with an American flag. The presentation plaque is engraved “Alese Henderson”. All of the furniture appears to be nickel silver to include: thimbles, nose cap, barrel wedge shields, palm plate, trigger guard, toe plate, buttplate, thumb plate, patch box and the 15 decorations. Features full octagon barrel with fixed rear sight and dovetail front. Sports double set triggers. Has a solid brass lug under barrel. The lock is simply stamped “Warranted”. Stock has the beautiful striped finish. The beautiful patch box is finely engraved and has the attribution in the York style of Lauck. Barrel is a smooth patina with some scattered salt and paper at breech. Stock is in excellent condition. One of the most ornate half stocks offered. Simply a stunning rifle presented to someone of note.
