37-1/2" barrel in .12 bore-flintlock. This musket features a Joseph Aston lock of Birmingham, England, 1829 to 1841. Has a part round barrel with set rear sight and brass blade front. The barrel is pinned with three brass rod thimbles and forend tip. Has a brass buttplate, toe plate, and trigger guard with single swivel, single trigger, brass thumb plate. Finely finish striped stock in excellent condition. Barrel and lock are brown patina. Wood is excellent with no major cracks but does have some chipping around lock. Nice, early musket.
